Abstract:
Objective:To detect the expression of microRNA-100(miRNA-100) in gastric cancer and its relation with clinicopathologic features.
Methods:The total RNA in 50 gastric cancer tissue specimens and non-tumor adjacent tissue specimens were extracted, the expression levels of miRNA-100 were detected by TaqMan real-time quantitative PCR assay. The correlations of miRNA-100 expression and differentiation and lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer were analyzed.
Results:The expression levels of miRNA-100 in gastric carcinoma tissue and normal gastric tissue were 1.31±0.69 and 0.74±0.36, respectively, the difference of which was statistical significance(
P<0.01).The differences of miRNA-100 expressions in age, gender, tumor location, tumor size, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and TNM staging were not statistically significant(
P>0.05).
Conclusions:The abnormal expression of miRNA-100 may be associated with the occurrence of gastric cancer.
