Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the effects of kinesitherapy on the muscle tension and gait of patients with Parkinson's disease(PD).
Methods:Thirty-six patients with Parkinson's disease were randomly divided into the experiment group(18 cases) and control group(18 cases). The basic drug treatment of two groups were the same, and the experiment group were additionally treated with kinesitherapy. The differences of the modified Ashworth score, walking speed, cycle time and repeat step distance on foot between two groups were analyzed before and after treatment.
Results:Compared with the control group, the modified Ashworth score, walking speed, cycle time and repeat step distance on foot in experiment group after treatment decreased, sped, shortened and increased, respectively(
P<0.01).
Conclusions:The kinesitherapy can reduce the muscle tension, increase the pace and improve the symptoms of gait.
