Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the mental health status of the new generation migrant workers in Anhui province,and analyze its influencing factors.
Methods:Seven hundred and eighty-eight home-going new generation migrant workers were randomly surveyed using the SCL-90 during the Spring Festival in Anhui Province.
Results:The detection rate of psychological problems was 39.8%(including 15.5% cases with more than moderate psychological problem) in new generation migrant workers in Anhui,their mental health levels were significantly lower than the average level of normal people(
P<0.01).The differences of the mental health levels in different genders(major in the total points of SCL-90,hostility,depression,anxiety and terror),different marital status(major in the total points of SCL-90,anxiety,terror and psychoticism),different educational levels(major in the somatization,hostility and terror),different ages(major in the somatization,total points of SCL-90 and others) and different income levels(major in the interpersonal relationship and depression) were statistically significant(
P<0.05 to
P<0.01).
Conclusions:The mental health problems in new generation migrant workers are worse,the influencing factors of which include gender,age,marital status,educational level and income level.
