Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the clinical effects and ranges of accommodation of multifocal intraocular lens implantation of ultrasonic emulsification cataract resorption.
Methods:Forty-seven patients(47 eyes) with cataract were treated with multifocal intraocular lens implantation of ultrasonic emulsification cataract resorption. The naked far and near visual acuity, the best corrected far and near visual acuity and ranges of accommodation were measured. All patients were followed up for 1 to 12 months, the clinical data of patients were analyzed after 1 week, 1 month and 3 months of operation.
Results:The naked near visual acuity of 38 cases at postoperative 1 week, 40 cases at postoperative 1 month and 38 cases at postoperative 3 months were more than or equal to J5, the corrected near visual acuity of 37 cases at postoperative 1 week, 37 cases at postoperative 1 month and 36 cases at postoperative 3 months were more than or equal to J5.Under push-up test and defocusing test, the ranges of accommodation after 1 week, 1 month and 3 months of operation were(2.02±0.59)D, (1.91±0.53)D and(1.82±0.54)D, and(1.92±0.61)D, (1.85±0.54)D and(1.79±0.49)D, respectively, the differences of whose were not statistically significant(
P>0.05).The near visual acuity after correcting far visual acuity was positive correlation with the range of accommodation. Two wave crests were found at 0.0D and -3.0D of the curve of focus depth, the depth of focus extension was(+1.5 to 4.0)D.
Conclusions:Multifocal intraocular lens can provide good near and far visual acuity, the long-term effects of which remains to be seen.
