Abstract:
Objective:To explore the clinical effects of the combination of Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of gastric ulcer.
Methods:One hundred and twenty-seven patients with gastric ulcer were randomly divided into the observation group(
n=65) and control group(
n=62) according to the number table method.The control group were treated with the conventional medicine(such as the omeprazole,amoxicillin and clarithromycin),the observation group were additionally treated with the self-made traditional Chinese Medicine on the basis of the western medicine.The quality of life scores before and after treatment in two groups were observed,and the total effective and recurrence rate between two groups were compared.
Results:The difference of the quality of life score in two groups was not statistically significant before treatment(
P>0.05).Compared with these before treatment,the scores of the physical function,psychological function and social function in two groups were significantly improved after treatment(
P<0.01),the increasing degree of whose in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(
P<0.01).The clinical total effective rate in observation group(93.85%) was significantly higher than that in control group(82.26%)(
P<0.01).The recurrence rates in observation group during the following up for 1,2 and 3 year were 3.08%,7.69% and 12.31%,respectively,whose in control group were 11.29%,19.35% and 30.65%,respectively,and whose in observation group were lower than those in control group(
P<0.01).
Conclusions:The treatment of gastric ulcer with the combination of Chinese and western medicine can significantly improve the quality of life,increase the therapeutic efficacy and decrease the relapse rate,and its effect is significantly better than that of western medicine and worthy of promotion.
