Abstract:
Objective: To compare the short-term effects between eccentric rotational acetabular osteotomy and Chiari osteotomy in the treatment of acetabular dysplasia.
Methods: Thirty-four adults with acetabular dysplasia were randomly divided into the control group(18 cases) and observation group(16 cases).The control group and observation group were treated with Chiari osteotomy and eccentric rotational acetabular osteotomy,respectively.The operative time,blood loss,incision length,JOA score,CE angle,Sharp angle and postoperative complications between two groups were compared.
Results: The differences of the operative time,blood loss and incision length between two groups were not statistically significant(
P>0.05).The differences of the preoperative JOA score,CE and Sharp angle between two groups were not statistically significant(
P>0.05).The postoperative JOA score and CE angle in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(
P<0.01),but for the Sharp angle,it was significantly lower than that in control group(
P<0.01).The difference of the complications between two groups was not statistically significant(
P=1.000).
Conclusions: The short-term effect of eccentric rotational acetabular osteotomy in the treatment of acetabular dysplasia is better,which has certain clinical application value.
