Abstract:
Objective: To explore the causes, the treatment of long-term complications with the permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation.
Methods: The records of 280 patienrs with pacemakers implantation were reviewed,long-term pacemaker complications of the patients were analyzed.
Results: There were 17 patients(6.07%) who developed the long-term pacemaker complications.13 cases(6.34%) over 60 years old,4 cases(5.33%) under 60 years old, there was no statistical difference in the overall rate of complications between patients aged above 60 years old(
P>0.05);6 cases(2.14%) of vein thrombosis,4 cases(1.43%) of pacemaker lead thrombosis.3 cases(1.07%) of electrode dislocation,2 cases(0.71%) of pocker ulcerated and infection,1 cases(0.36%) of pacemaker syndrome and 1 cases(0.36%) of pacemaker threshold increased significantly to a pacemaker bad.
Conclusions: There is an increasing trend in the rate of vein thrombosis, electrode dislocation, pocker ulcerated and infection.Should attach importance to the pacemaker implantation preparation, intraoperative emphasizes the specification of aseptic operation, strengthening postoperative follow-up,as well as the early discovery and treatment of complications could reduce the risk of complications so as to avoid the serious consequences.
