Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the effects of humanistic nursing on the social function of male psychiatric patients.
Methods: One hundred and twenty-nine male psychiatric patients were divided into the control group(64 cases) and observation group(65 cases).The control group and observation group were treated with routine nursing and humanistic nursing,respectively.The social function in two groups were evaluated and compared using the social function rating scale(SSPI) and the self insight and treatment attitude questionnaire(ITAQ).
Results: The differences of the scores of SSPI and ITAQ before intervention between two groups were not statistically significant(
P>0.05).Compared before intervention,the scores of SSPI and ITAQ in two groups increased significantly after intervention(
P<0.01),and the total score of SSPI and each factor score,and the total score of ITAQ in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: Humanistic nursing is beneficial to improve the social function of male psychiatric patients,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
