Abstract:
Objective:To analyze the effects of the school education combined with hospital intervention on the adolescent sexual health in rural left-behind children,and explore the effective sexual health education mode in rural left-behind children.
Methods:One thousand two hundred left-behind children from 4 middle schools were randomly divided into the control group and observation group(600 cases each group).The control group were taught with adolescent sexual education curriculum required by the Chinese Ministry of Education.The observation group were taught with school education combined with hospital intervention.The regular activity was implemented by school teachers and psychologists for 1 year,the content of which included sexual knowledge,value and adaptation.The scores before and after intervention between two groups were compared.
Results:The differences of the scores of the basic knowledge of physiology,sexual knowledge,sexual attitude,sexual control,social adaptation and oneself adaptation before intervention between two groups were not statistically significant(
P>0.05).The scores of the basic knowledge of physiology,sexual attitude and social adaptation after intervention in control group were significantly higher than those before intervention(
P<0.01).The scores of all items after intervention were higher than those in observation group before intervention,and in control group after intervention(
P<0.05 to
P<0.01).
Conclusions:Rural left-behind children belong to a special group,and their sexual knowledge is lack.The school education combined with hospital intervention can help to develop the scientific sexual concept and attitude.
