Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the conventional absorbable suture and one-way barbed suture in retroperitoneal laparoscopic partial nephrectomy(LPN).
Methods: Sixty renal cell carcinoma patients with stage T1N0M0 were treated with LPN.The kidney in observation group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases) were sutured with one-way barbed suture(V-Loc
TM) and conventional absorbable suture,respectively.
Results: The warm ischemia time in observation group and control group were(19.3±3.9)min and(23.5±5.1)min,respectively,the difference of which was statistically significant(
P<0.01).The differences of the operation time, postoperative hospital stay and incidence rate of complication between two groups were not statistically significant(
P>0.05).
Conclusions: The application of one-way barbed suture in retroperitoneal LPN can significantly reduce the suture and warm ischemia time of kidney, protect the kidney, and is high safety and efficacy.
