Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effectiveness and safety of fractional laser combined with Jingtianquban Capsule in the treatment of female chloasma. Methods: One hundred and twenty-two female patients with chloasma were randomly divided into the control group and observation group.The control group and observation group were treated with fractional laser and fractional laser combined with Jingtianquban Capsule,respectively.The total skin lesion scores,clinical efficacy 12 weeks after treatment,recurrence rate during the 3 months of following-up,levels of serum estradiol,luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone,and other sex hormone levels before and after treatment between two groups was recorded and compared.The safety of two groups during the treatment and following-up period were evaluated. Results: The total scores of skin lesions 12 weeks after treatment and 3 months of following-up in two groups significantly decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.01),the decreasing degree of which in observation group was more than that in control group(P<0.01).The total effective rate of the observation group(86.89%) was significantly higher than that in control group(67.21%)(P<0.01),and the recurrence rate in observation group(4.92%) was significantly lower than that in control group(16.39%)(P<0.05).The levels of serum estradiol,luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone 12 weeks after treatment in two groups significantly decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.01),the decreasing degree of which in observation group was more than that in control group(P<0.01). Conclusions: The treatment of female chloasma with fractional laser combined with Jingtianquban Capsule can rapidly improve the skin lesions in the short term,is effective,safe and reliable with low recurrence rate,which has high clinical reference values.
