Abstract:
Objective:To analyze the epidemiological and clinical features of tinea manus and pedis.
Methods:Two hundred and fourteen patients with tinea manus and pedis were set as research object to retrospective analysis,to find out the epidemilology and clinical characteristics of tinea manus and pedis.
Results:More than 90% of the patients were infected by
Trichophyton rubrum(tinea manus 63.1%,tinea pedis 71.0%) and
Trichophyton tonsurans(tinea manus 9.8%,tinea pedis 15.4%).All patients with purely tinea manus were not checkouted with epidermophyton floccosum.Compared to purely tinea pedis, relevance ratio of candida albicans in purely tinea manus is obviously higher(tinea manus 22.0%,tinea pedis 5.6%).According to the degree of skin damage, tinea manus and pedis are divided into blister type, scale type and erosion type.As of epidemiology,20-40 years old are the high risk group, which contain 69.6% and about 45% are workman. In morbidity, scale type(tinea manus 62.1%,tinea pedis 77.1%) > erosion type(tinea manus 22.9%,tinea pedis 13.1%) > blister type(tinea manus 15.0%,tinea pedis 9.8%).
Conclusions:Most of the tinea manus and pedis is caused by a minority of pathogenic bacterium. The morbidity have close relationship to what they touch and personal hygiene. Both the prevalence of tinea pedis and tinea manus have a rule of composition that is scale type >erosion type > blisters type.
