Abstract:
Objective:To analyze the serum level of uric acid(UA) in patients with cerebral infarction, and explore the relationship between the serum UA and cerebral infarction.
Methods:Four hundred cerebral infarction patients were divided into the low serum UA group, normal serum UA group and high serum UA group. The serum levels of UA,low density lipoprotein cholesterin, triglyceride, total cholesterol and C-reactive protein were analyzed in three groups. The relationships between the serum levels of UA and degree of nervous functional defect between three groups were compared.
Results:The differences of the levels of triglycerides, total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterin between three group were not statistically significant(
P>0.05).With the increasing of the serum level of UA,the degree of nervous functional defect significantly decreased(
P<0.01).
Conclusions:High serum UA level can play a protection effect on severe neurologic deficit in cerebral infarction patients.
