Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the effects of granule fat transplantation on the life quality,self-confidence and self-image in patients with upper eyelid sinking.
Methods: Eighty patients(160 eyes) with upper eyelid sinking were randomly divided into the block group 40 cases 80 eyes and particle group 40 cases 80 eyes according to random number table method. The block group and particle group were treated with double eyelid incision combined with block fat transplantation and granule fat transplantation, respectively. Two groups were followed up for 6 months. The scores of life quality,self-confidence and self-image between two groups were compared.
Results: The operation time and peroperative bleeding in particle group were statistically lower than those in block group(
P<0.01).The scores of operation result, quality of life,self-confidence and self-image in particle group were higher than those in block group(
P<0.05 to
P<0.01).The difference of the grading of upper eyelid sinking between before and after treatment in two groups was statistically significant(
P<0.01).After treatment, the number of stage 1 patients in particle group was significantly higher than that in block group(
P<0.05),and the satisfaction degree of particle group was significantly higher than that of block group(
P<0.05).No incision infection and other serious complications were found in two groups during the following up of 12-26 months.
Conclusions: Granular fat transplantation can effectively improve the quality of life,self-confidence and self-image of patients with the upper eyelid sinking.
