Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the effects of the self-management ability training on disease management and quality of life in patients with lupus nephritis.
Methods: One hundred and twenty patients with lupus nephritis were randomly divided into the observation group(
n=60) and control group(
n=60).The control group and observation were managed with routine care and self-management skills training,respectively.The disease management ability and quality of life in two groups before and after intervention were evaluated using self-care ability scale and comprehensive assessment questionnaire(GQOLI-74).
Results: After intervention,the scores of symptom management,emotional management,self-efficacy,information management and management of daily life in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(
P<0.01).After intervention,the scores of material life,social function,physical function,mental function and quality of life in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: Self-management program can effectively improve the disease management ability and quality of life in patients with lupus nephritis.
