Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the status of academic degree postgraduate education of clinical medicine, analyze its problems, and provide the feasible strategies in improving the quality of postgraduate education.
MethodsThe academic degree postgraduates of clinical medicine from four medical colleges and universities in Anhui province were investigated using the questionnaire.
ResultsThe low quality students, low participation in scientific research, less scientific research achievement, less tutor guidance, poor research environment, and unoptimistic employment prospects were identified in academic degree postgraduates during investigation.
ConclusionsThe state should improve the academic status of clinical medicine to attract more outstanding students, increase investment to improve the security system, reduce the opportunity cost of students, shorten standardized training of resident physicians after graduate, improve the recognition and demand of the academic degree graduate, and expand the job market.
