Abstract:
ObjectiveTo analyze the cognition of preventing fall in elderly inpatients, and explore the effects of visual health education.
MethodsOne hundred and thirty-six elderly inpatients were investigated using the cognitive questionnaire of preventing fall, and intervened using the poster, brochure and video means.The intervention effects of visual health education on the preventing fall were observed in elderly inpatients.
ResultsThe cognitive score of preventing fall increased from(3.39±0.99)to(4.23±0.79) in elderly inpatients, and the cognition of the effects of the placement of object, fall history, age, place, emotion, compliance and medication on fall significantly increased(P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe visual education can improve the cognition of preventing fall, and reduce the incidence rate of fall in elderly inpatients.
