Abstract:
ObjectiveTo cultivate the rural-oriented medical students with excellent post competence, and explore the application effects of the teaching method based on post competency in Neurology teaching.
MethodsForty-nine rural-oriented medical students from grade 2014 and 52 rural-oriented medical students from grade 2013 of Bengbu Medical College were divided into the observation group and control group, respectively.The observation group and control group were taught with the teaching method based on post competency and traditional teaching method, respectively.
ResultsThe difference of the theoretical knowledge test score between two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05), the practical skill operation test score in observation group was higher than that in control group(P < 0.05), and the research ability and teaching satisfaction in observation group were higher than those in control group(P < 0.05 and P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe teaching method based on post competency can improve the students' theoretical knowledge, practical skill, research ability, satisfaction with teaching and quality of clinical subject education.
