Abstract:
ObjectiveTo explore the status of discharge readiness of diabetes patients with initial and repeated/multiple admissions, and analyze its characteristics.
MethodsOne hundred and twenty diabetes patients with initial admission and 120 diabetes patients with repeated/multiple admissions were investigated using the questionnaire and discharge readiness scale by convenient sampling.
ResultsThe discharge readiness levels in diabetes patients with initial admission and diabetes patients with repeated/multiple admissions, respectively, and the difference of which was statistically significant(P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe discharge readiness levels in diabetes patients with initial admission and diabetes patients with repeated/multiple admissions are low and relatively high, respectively, and the difference of which is significant.The nursing work should focus on the nursing education and discharge guidance according to the characteristics of diabetes patients with repeated/multiple admissions, which can improve the readiness of patients.
