Abstract:
ObjectiveTo analyze the correlation between serum level of high density lipoprotein 3 (HDL3) and acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
MethodsTwo hundred and thirty-five patients were divided into the control group(n=47), stable angina pectoris group(SAP group, 58 cases) and ACS group(n=130) according to the results of coronary angiography. The serum levels of HDL3 in three groups were measured using ELISA, and the correlation between serum level of HDL3 and ACS was analyzed.
ResultsThe differences of the serum levels of HDL3 among three groups were statistically significant, the serum level of HDL3 in ACS group was lower than that in SAP group (P < 0.05).The results of regression analysis showed that the serum level of HDL3 was negatively correlated with the severity of ACS (P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe serum level of HDL3 is negatively correlated with the severity of ACS, and HDL3 is an independent protective factor of ACS.
