Abstract:
ObjectiveTo evaluate the application value of saline infusion sonohysterograph(SIS) in the diagnosis of common uterine lesions.
MethodsThe clinical data of 469 patients detected by transvaginal two-dimen sional (2D) combined with three-dimen sional (3D) ultrasound, SIS and pathological examination were retrospectively analyzed. The results of transvaginal 2D combined with 3D ultrasound and SIS in the diagnosis of uterine cavity lesions were compared with the results of operation. The sensitivity, specificity and coincidence rate between two ultrasonic methods in the diagnosis of uterine cavity lesions were compared.
ResultsWith hysteroscopy as the standard, the sensitivity, specificity and coincidence rate of 2D combined with 3D ultrasound in the diagnosis of uterine cavity polyps, submucosal leiomyoma and intrauterine adhension were significantly lower than those of SIS(P < 0.01).
ConclusionThe SIS has some advantages over conventional ultrasound in the diagnosis of intrauterine lesions, and can be used as a screening method for clinical infertility patients to find the cause of infertility.
