Abstract:
ObjectiveTo study the related factors in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with hyperuricemia.
MethodsFive hundred patients with type 2 diabetes were selected, and divided into the HUA group(89 cases complicated with hyperuricemia) and NUA group(411 cases with normal blood uric acid) according to the simple random method. The multivariate logistic analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of hyperuricemia.
ResultsThere was no statistical significance in the course of diabetes, systollic pressure, diastollic pressure, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol between two groups(P>0.05), but the body mass index, triglyceride, fasting insulin and insulin resistance index, ratio of urinary albumin/creatinine and serum creatinine in HUA group were higher than those in NUA group, the age, HbA1c and estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR) in HUA group were lower than those in NUA group, and the differences of the ratios of obesity, smoking, drinking and hyperlipidemia were statistically significant(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).The high ratio of urinary albumin/creatinine and drinking were the independent risk factors for diabetes mellitus complicated with hyperuricemia, and the eGFR was a protective factor(P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe hyperuricemia can aggravate the hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, and renal impairment in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The ratio of urinary albumin/creatinine and drinking are the independent risk factors for diabetes mellitus complicated with hyperuricemia.
