Abstract:
Objective To explore the application of day surgery unit in clinical teaching of postgraduate students.
Methods Thirty orthopedic postgraduate students were randomly divided into day surgery group and control group (15 students in each group), which received six-month clinical skills training in day surgery unit and general ward, respectively. The basic information and curative effect of 356 cases of arthroscopic meniscus surgery participated by two groups of graduate students were compared, and the clinical skills of the two groups were evaluated.
Results The hospitalization time and operative costs of patients in day surgery group were less than those in control group (P < 0.05).The knee function scores at 6 months after operation were improved in two groups (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in Lysholm score between the two groups (P>0.05).There was no significant difference in theoretical knowledge, physical examination and total score between the two groups (P>0.05).The intraoperative operation score in day surgery group was better than that in control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusions The day surgery unit has achieved good teaching effects in clinical teaching of postgraduate students, which is worthy of further promotion.
