Abstract:
ObjectiveTo establish a method for the determination of rhodamine B in dissolving microneedle patch.
MethodsUltraviolet-visible spectrophotometry was used to determine the content of rhodamine B in dissolving microneedles.A series concentration of rhodamine B solutions were prepared, the absorbance was measured at 554 nm and the least square method was used to draw the standard curve. The specificity, linearity, precision, sample recovery, limit of detection, repeatability and stability of the method were investigated.
ResultsRodamine B solution at the concentration of 1.04-10.40 μg/mL showed good linearity with its absorbance (r=0.999 5).The specificity, linearity, precision, sample recovery, limit of detection, repeatability and stability of the method all met the requirement.
ConclusionsThe ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry is simple, accurate and reliable, and can be used to determine the content of rhodamine B in dissolving microneedle patch.
