Abstract:
ObjectiveTo explore the application effects of traction garments in the prevention of fall in rehabilitation department.
MethodsA total of 143 patients treated with rehabilitation were randomly divided into the observation group(72 cases) and control group(71 cases). The control group was nursed with the conventional nursing method, and the observation group was nursed with traction garments based on the control group. The modified falls efficacy scale(MEFS) score, number of falls and activities of daily living(ADL) score after intervention were compared between two groups.
ResultsNo case fell in the observation group, 4 cases fell in the control group, and the difference of which was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no statistical significance in MEFS and ADL scores between two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention, the MEFS and ADL scores in two groups significantly increased(P < 0.01), and which in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P < 0.01).
ConclusionsTraction garments can effectively prevent and control the fall of patients during the rehabilitation, improve the patient's security and self-confidence, and have certain effects on the rehabilitation training of patients.
