Abstract:
ObjectiveTo compare the effect of different puncture drainage methods double cannula drainage by abdominal puncture device and percutaneous catheter drainage in the treatment of abdominal abscess.
MethodsThe clinical data of 23 patients with abdominal abscess treated with clinical approach from 2017 to 2019 were analyzed retrospectively, and 18 patients with abdominal abscess treated with percutaneous catheter drainage from 2014 to 2016 were taken as the control. The therapeutic effect was compared between the two groups.
ResultsThe patients in the two groups were cured successfully. The differences of drainage rate, abscess healing time, inflammation index recovery time, abscess recurrence rate, hospitalization expenses between the two groups were statistically significant (P < 0.05 to P < 0.01), and the differences of antibiotic use time was not statistically significant(P>0.05).
ConclusionsDouble cannula drainage by abdominal puncture device and percutaneous catheter drainage can optimize the therapy of abdominal abscess, significantly reduce the drainage rate of operation, abscess recurrence rate, abscess healing time, inflammation index recovery time and hospitalization expenses, which has great promotion values.
