Abstract:
ObjectiveTo analyze prevalence differences of metabolic syndrome(MetS) based on the four criteria(CDS2013, JIS, IDF, and ATP Ⅲ).
MethodsData were collected from healthy examinees in a hospital physical examination center, including physical examination data and laboratory examination data.Kappa test was used to compare the consistency of the four diagnostic criteria.
ResultsThe prevalence rate was the highest under JIS criterion(26.6%), followed by ATP Ⅲ criterion(25.8%), IDF criterion(20.3%)and CDS criterion(19.3%).With the increase of age, the prevalence of MetS was increasing under the four diagnostis criteria.Among the four diagnostic criteria, the highest detection rate of MetS was hypertension, followed by central obesity, and the lowest was low-density lipoprotein. The consistency was the highest under JIS and ATP Ⅲ criterion.
ConclusionsThe prevalence of MetS was different among the four diagnostic criteria. It is necessary to increase the awareness of prevention for male and elderly people, especially for the high-risk groups of hypertension and obesity, health education should be strengthened.
