Abstract:
ObjectiveTo evaluate the effects of hepatolenticular degeneration(HLD)complicated with splenomegaly on liver hardness through real-time shear wave elastography measuring the liver shear wave velocity(SWV).
MethodsThe patients with HLD were divided into two groups according to the splenomegaly. The right liver lobe SWV of patients were measured using Siemens ACUSON-OXANA3 color doppler ultrasonic diagnostic instrument with acoustic radiation force impulse imaging(ARFI), and the right liver lobe SWV values in two groups were analyzed by independent sample t test using SPSS 25.0 software.
ResultsFourteen patients without splenomegaly and 24 patients with splenomegaly were identified in two groups, respectively. The difference of the SWV value of the right lobe of liver between two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).
ConclusionsThe quantitative measurement of liver SWV velocity is helpful to timely adjust the treatment plan in the clinical treatment of patients with hepatolenticular degeneration.
