Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of Ginkgo Folium extract combined with hyperbaric oxygen in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease in the elderly.
MethodsNinety-eight patients with Alzheimer's disease were randomly divided into the control group and observation group(49 cases in each group). The control group was treated with Ginkgo Folium extract, and the observation group was treated with Ginkgo Folium extract combined with hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The clinical efficacy, serum index and incidence rate of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.
ResultsAfter treatment, the MMSE score and ADL score in observation group were higher than those in control group, while the ADAS-Cog score in observation group was lower than that in control group(P < 0.01).After treatment, the levels of SOD, GSH-Px and TGF-β1 in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the levels of MDA and IL-1β were lower than those in the control group(P < 0.01).The differences of the incidence rates of fatigue, nausea, dizziness, insomnia and rash between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).
ConclusionsGinkgo Folium extract combined with hyperbaric oxygen in the treatment of elderly Alzheimer's disease can effectively improve clinical efficacy and serum related indicators, and has fewer adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
