Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of Danhong injection combined with atorvastatin calcium on serum cystatin C(Cys-C), homocysteine(Hcy) and serum uric acid(SUA) levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).
MethodsA total of 93 ACI patients were selected and divided into observation group(47 cases) and control group(46 cases) by random number table method. The control group was treated with atorvastatin calcium, and the observation group was treated with Danhong injection combined with atorvastatin calcium. After 14 days of treatment, the reduction rate of the National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS) score, clinical efficacy, levels of laboratory test indicators(including Cys-C, Hcy and SUA) and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.
ResultsAfter treatment, the NIHSS scores in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P < 0.01);the NIHSS score in observation group were significantly lower than that in control group(P < 0.01), and the reduction rate of NIHSS score and effective rate were higher than those in control group(P < 0.05).After treatment, the levels of Cys-C, Hcy, and SUA in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P < 0.01), and the levels of Cys-C, Hcy, and SUA in observation group were lower than those in control group(P < 0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in observation group(6.38%, 3/47) was lower than that in control group(21.74%, 10/46)(P < 0.05).
ConclusionsDanhong injection combined with atorvastatin calcium can be helpful to relieve neurological deficits in patients with ACI, improve clinical efficacy, and reduce adverse reactions, which may be related to the reduction of serum Cys-C, Hcy, SUA levels.
