Abstract:
ObjectiveTo explore the effects of the depth of sedation and duration of deep sedation on occurrence of delirium in patients with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).
MethodsThe clinical data of 258 patients with SAP were retrospectively analyzed. The end of treatment in ICU of patients was set as the study endpoint, the patients were divided into the delirium group and non-delirium group. The depth of sedation and duration of deep sedation between two groups were compared.
ResultsThe depth of sedation and duration of deep sedation in delirium group were greater than those in non-delirium group(P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe deeper sedation depth and the longer sedation time in ICU patients with SAP, the higher the incidence rate the delirium is.
