Abstract:
ObjectiveTo analyze the HIV positive rate and group characteristics of inpatients of the south area of The First Affiliated Hospital of China University of Science and Technology (USTC), and to provide data support for clinical understanding of HIV infection.
MethodsA total of 219 581 inpatients of the south area of The First Affiliated Hospital of USTC from 2019 to 2021 were screened, and the gender, age, occupation, educational background and disease information of the HIV positive patients were counted and analyzed.
ResultsThe total HIV positive rate of the inpatients detected before operation was 0.037%.No significant difference in the positive rate were found between 2019, 2020 and 2021(P>0.05).The group characteristics were male predominence, mainly 40-59 aged and agriculture-related or unemployment state in occupation, with educational backgrounds of generally in junior high school or below.The main clinical presentation pertained to circulatory, digestive and respiratory diseases.
ConclusionsThe HIV positive rate of patients tested before operation remains stable and nonnegligible in the past three years, more attention should be paid to the population of the above group characteristics.
