Abstract:
ObjectiveTo study the effect of arteriovenous fistula exercise on the upper limb motor function and frailty level in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
MethodsSeventy maintenance hemodialysis patients were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into control group (n=31) and exercise intervention group (n=39) according to the time of admission. The control group was given routine nursing guidance, and the exercise intervention group was given exercise intervention guidance for 16 weeks with arteriovenous fistula exercise. The upper limb motor function and frailty level in the two groups were compared before and after intervention.
ResultsAfter intervention, the total score of upper limb motor status scale, and the score of shoulder, elbow, forearm and wrist in the exercise intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.01), and significantly higher than those before intervention (P < 0.01).There was no significant difference in the total score of upper limb motor status scale, and the score of shoulder, elbow, forearm and wrist in the control group between before and after intervention (P>0.05).After intervention, the total score of tilbury frailty indicator, and the score of physical asthenia and psychological asthenia in the exercise intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.01), and lower than those before intervention (P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of social asthenia between the two groups after intervention (P>0.05), and there was no significant difference between the two groups before and after intervention (P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the total score of tilbury frailty indicator, and the score of physical asthenia, psychological asthenia and social asthenia in the control group between before and after intervention (P>0.05).
ConclusionsAfter 16 weeks of intervention with arteriovenous fistula exercise, the upper limb motor function of dialysis patients is significantly improved, and the frailty level is relieved.
