Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the nutrition literacy level of urban and rural residents in Anhui Province and analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide reference for improving the nutrition literacy of the whole people.
MethodsA multistage stratified cluster sampling method was used to investigate the nutrition literacy of urban and rural residents in Bengbu, Chuzhou, Hefei, Bozhou and other places from July 2021 to July 2022.
ResultsThe nutrition literacy level of rural residents was significantly lower than that of urban residents (P < 0.05).The scores of nutrition literacy in the 18-45 age group were higher than those in other age groups(P < 0.05).The scores of nutrition literacy of the residents with income from parents was relatively higher(P < 0.05).Nutrition literacy scores of unmarried and married residents were higher than those of divorced and widowed residents(P < 0.05).The scores of nutrition literacy in the group with high diplomas were higher than those in the group with low education (P < 0.05).
ConclusionsAge, urban and rural differences, education level and economic sources are the factors that affecting the nutrition literacy level of residents in Anhui Province.It will be an effective way to improve the level of nutrition literacy of urban and rural residents by carrying out nutrient health education and popularizing nutrition and health knowledge for different residents.
