Abstract:
ObjectiveTo explore the value of shear wave elastography (SWE) combined with smart three-dimensional superb microvascular imaging (Smart 3D SMI) in distinguishing benign and malignant breast nodules.
MethodsA total of 108 patients (118 nodules) who underwent breast ultrasound examination were selected as the study subjects. All patients underwent two-dimensional ultrasound examination, SWE examination, and Smart 3D SMI examination, and the pathological results were used as the gold standard to compare the diagnostic efficacy of SWE, Smart 3D SMI, and their combination examination.
ResultsThe consistency between SWE and Smart 3D SMI detection alone and pathological results was average (P < 0.01) The consistency between SWE combined with Smart 3D SMI and pathological results was good (P < 0.01).The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of SWE combined with Smart 3D SMI in diagnosing the nature of breast tumors were higher than those of SWE and Smart 3D SMI alone, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).
ConclusionsThe combination of SWE and Smart 3D SMI has good application value in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast nodules.
