Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of surgery and load on marginal bone loss(MBL) in WEGO implant system, and evaluate the clinical reliability of the system.
Methods A total of 61 single crown restoration patients treated with WEGO implant system were retrospectively analyzed. The MBL of the implant between the osseointegration stage and the loading stage were compared. The patients' age, gender, implant position(premolar/molar), implant length/diameter and implant healing mode were collected to analyze the influencing factors of the implant MBL during the osseointegration stage and the loading stage.
Results The marginal bone level at implantation was (0.59±0.08) mm.After ≥3 months of osseointegration, the implant MBL was (-0.18±0.09) mm.After ≥10 months of loading, the implant MBL was (-0.04±0.03) mm.The difference of the MBL between the osseointegration stage and loading stage was statistically significant(P < 0.01).The differences of the implant MBL in the osseointegration stage among patients with different dental positions and implant diameters were statistically significant(P < 0.01 and P < 0.05) The difference of the MBL among patients with different implant lengths was statistically significant(P < 0.05).
Conclusions The WEGO implant system has a high reliability in clinical applications. There was a difference in MBL between the osseointegration phase and loading phase, and the dental position, implant diameter and implant length are correlated with the WEGO implant MBL.
