Abstract:
Objective: To analzye the hub genes promoting development of endometrial cancer(EC) using weighted gene co-expression network.
Methods: Based on the data of The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA),the differentially expression genes(DEGs) between EC and normal tissues were analyzed from the expression level and function level. The functional enrichment of DEGs was performed by gene ontology(GO) analysis.Weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA) was used to identify the modules related to the clinical characteristics of EC patients in DEGs,and further explore the key genes with the highest correlation with the development of EC.
Results: WGCNA identified eight gene modules that were associated with clinical characteristics of EC patients, which included the yellow and blue modules that were associated with cancer onset.Through the analysis and verification of the two yellow and blue hub modules, the TTK,IQGAP3,CCNE1,CLEC1A,TSHZ3,TBC1D2B,PEAR1 and DIPK2B hub genes were found.
Conclusions: WGCNA can screen out the biologically significant key modules and hub genes related to EC,which can provide a new targets for the treatment of EC.
