Abstract:
Objective: To explore the correlation between self-efficacy and self-management ability and medication compliance in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis.
Methods: A total of 110 patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis were distributed a general information survey questionnaire,the general self-efficacy scale (GSES),the exercise of self-care ayency scale (ESCA),and the Chinese version of the 8-item Morisky medication adherence scale(MMAS-8) to the research subjects.The correlation of the survey results was analyzed,and mediation effect analysis was conducted.
Results: Among the 110 patients,there were 47 patients with MMAS-8 scores greater than 6 points,accounting for 42.73%.Their GSES score was (30.75±2.51) points,ESCA score was (117.99±25.91) points,and MMAS-8 score was (5.27±1.14) points.Patients with advanced self-management ability had the highest GSES and MMAS-8 scores,while patients with low self-management ability grading had the lowest GSES and MMAS-8 scores,and the differences were statistically significant (
P<0.01).The self-efficacy score of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis was positively correlated with the self-management ability score and medication compliance score (
r=0.395,0.473,
P<0.05),and the self-management ability score was positively correlated with medication compliance score (
r=0.452,
P<0.05).The self-efficacy played a part of mediating effect between the self-management ability and medication compliance of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis,the direct effect was 4.61,the indirect effect was 0.190,and the total effect was 0.651.The mediating effect accounted for 29.18% of the total effect.
Conclusions: The medication compliance of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis is relatively low.In clinical intervention,not only the medication compliance of patients can be improved by improving their self-management ability,but also the medication compliance can be indirectly improved by improving their self-management ability and self-efficacy,providing more research ways to improve the medication compliance of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis.
