Abstract:
Objective To explore the relationship between digital literacy and job engagement, and the mediating effect of organizational support on job satisfaction.
Methods A total of 565 in-service medical staffs were surveyed by general status questionnaire, digital literacy scale, sense of organizational support scale, job satisfaction scale and job engagement scale. The mediation effect was tested by Bootstrap method.
Results The total score of digital literacy of medical staffs was (3.86 ± 0.48) points, the total score of organizational support was (3.59 ± 0.76) points, the total score of job satisfaction was (3.76 ± 0.66) points, and the total score of job engagement was (4.63 ± 1.03) points. The digital literacy was positively correlated with organizational support, job satisfaction and job engagement (P < 0.01). The total effect value between digital literacy and job engagement was 0.6320, and the mediating effect value of job satisfaction between digital literacy and job engagement was 0.1224. The mediating effect value of organizational support and job satisfaction between digital literacy and job engagement was 0.3925.
Conclusions The scores of digital literacy, organizational support, job satisfaction, and job engagement of medical staffs are at the medium level. The job satisfaction has an obvious mediating effect between digital literacy and job engagement, and the digital literacy also influences the job engagement of medical staffs in the mediating effect of organizational support-job satisfaction chain.
