Abstract:
Objective: To analyze the correlation between ultrasound parameters and serum carbohydrate antigen 199 (CA199) and carbohydrate antigen 153 (CA153),and their diagnostic value for breast lesions.
Methods: Ninety patients with breast lesions were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into a benign group (
n=50) and a malignant group (
n=40) based on the nature of the breast lesions.The ultrasound parameters such as maximum blood flow value (Vmax),resistance index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI),and CA199 and CA153 levels between the two groups were compared.The correlation between Vmax,RI,PI and CA199,CA153,and their diagnostic value for breast lesions were analyzed.
Results: The Vmax,RI,PI,and levels of CA199 and CA153 in the malignant group were significantly higher than those in the benign group (
P<0.01).Benignor malignant breast lesions of patients were positively correlated with Vmax,RI,PI,CA199,and CA153 levels (
r=0.639,0.772,0.519,0.637,0.608,
P<0.05 to
P<0.01).The Vmax,RI,PI were positively correlated with CA199 levels in patients with breast lesions (
r=0.903,0.841,0.772,
P<0.05 to
P<0.01),and also positively correlated with CA153 levels (
r=0.816,0.918,0.913,
P<0.05 to
P<0.01).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve for the combined detection of Vmax,RI,and PI in diagnosing malignant breast lesions was significantly higher than that of single detection of Vmax,RI,and PI (
P<0.01).
Conclusions: Ultrasound parameters Vmax,RI,and PI have high diagnostic value in patients with breast lesions,are correlated with the levels of CA199 and CA153 in patients,and can be used for the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions.
