Abstract:
Objective: To explore the influence of group psychological counseling based on narrative thinking on transition shock of new nurses.
Methods: Seventy-three new nurses were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into control group (
n=36) and intervention group(
n=37).The control group was treated with standardized training,while the intervention group was treated with standardized training and group psychological counseling based on narrative thinking.The new nurse transition shock scale was used to evaluate the effect of intervention.
Results: Before intervention,there were no statistically significant differences in the total score of transition shock and scores of its each dimension of new nurses between the two groups (
P>0.05).After intervention,the total score of transition shock and scores of its each dimension in the control group were lower than those before the intervention,but the differences were not statistically significant (
P>0.05);the total score of transition shock and scores of its each dimension in the intervention group were significantly lower than those before the intervention (
P<0.01);the total score of transition shock,and scores of physical,psychological,social culture and development aspects of new nurses in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group (
P<0.01),while there was no statistically significant difference in the score of knowledge and skill between the two groups (
P>0.05).
Conclusions: Group psychological counseling based on narrative thinking can effectively improve the transition shock of new nurses,and can be promoted and applied in the training of new nurses.
