Methods: By convenience sampling,277 head nurses from 5 tertiary grade A general hospitals in Anhui province were investigated with general information questionnaire, competition perception scale, power distance scale,leader-member exchange scale and knowledge hiding scale.
Results: The overall knowledge hiding score of head nurses was at a moderately high level, with the highest score in the dimension of rationalization hiding and the lowest score in the dimension of pretending to be stupid hiding.Pearson correlation analysis showed that intragroup competition perception was significantly positively correlated with knowledge hiding (
P<0.01),leader-member exchange was significantly negatively correlated with knowledge hiding (
P<0.01),and power distance was significantly positively correlated with knowledge hiding (
P<0.01).The intragroup competition perception, power distance and leader-member exchange were all the influencing factors of knowledge hiding (
P<0.01).
Conclusions: Nursing managers should pay attention to the influence of intragroup competition perception, power distance and leader-member exchange on of head nurses knowledge hiding, and make intervention measures based on the influencing factors to reduce the level of knowledge hiding of head nurses and promote the overall development and improvement of nursing team.
