Abstract:
Objective: To explore the relationship between postoperative disease uncertainty and family support and emotional state in patients undergoing thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer.
Methods: A total of 298 patients who underwent thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer were selected as the research subjects. The general data of patients were counted and the patients were investigated by Mishel's uncertainty in illness scale (MUIS),perceived social support-family (PSS-Fa) and positive and negative affect scale (PANAS).The relationship of disease uncertainty with family support and emotional state of patients was assessed.
Results: The total score of postoperative MUIS,total score of PSS-Fa,and scores of positive emotion dimension and negative emotion dimension of PANAS were (101.97±4.75) points,(7.70±2.46) points,(23.54±4.27) points and (32.14±5.49) points.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of MUIS and the scores of each dimension of the patients after the operation were negatively correlated with the PSS-Fa score and the PANAS positive emotion scale score (
P<0.05 to
P<0.01),and positively correlated with the PANAS Negative Emotion Scale score (
P<0.05 to
P<0.01).
Conclusions: The postoperative disease uncertainty level of patients undergoing thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer is relatively high, which is closely related to the family support and emotional state of the patients.
