Abstract:
Objective: To analyze the application effect of painting therapy in the nursing care of adolescent patients with mental disorders.
Methods: Fifty adolescent patients with mental disorders were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 25 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional nursing care, while those in the observation group received painting therapy on the basis of conventional nursing care. The negative emotions and disease conditions of patients in the two groups were compared before and after intervention.
Results: Before intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in anxiety and depression scores of patients between the two groups (
P>0.05).After intervention, the anxiety and depression scores of patients in the two groups were decreased compared with before intervention (
P<0.05 to
P<0.01),and which in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (
P<0.01 and
P<0.05).The assessment using nurses' observation scale for inpatient evaluation indicated that there was no statistically significant difference in the total positive factor and total negative factor scores of patients between the two groups before intervention (
P>0.05);after the intervention, the total positive factor scores and total negative factor scores in the two groups were significantly increased and decreased compared with before intervention (
P<0.01),respectively,and the total positive factor scores and total negative factor scores in the observation group were significantly higher and lower than those in the control group (
P<0.01),respectively.
Conclusions: Painting therapy is helpful in alleviating negative emotions and mental symptoms in adolescent patients with mental disorders, and has positive promoting effects on their recovery.
