Abstract:
Objective To summarize and systematically evaluate the relevant measures for sleep management in peritoneal dialysis patients, and provide the evidence-based basis for patients to improve their sleep.
Methods The relevant literature on sleep management of peritoneal dialysis patients was systematically retrieved from domestic and foreign data and related websites.The sources of literature included the clinical decisions, guidelines, expert consensus.The retrieval time limit was set from the establishment of the database to August 2024.
Results A total of 15 literatures were included in the study, including 2 literatures for clinical decision-making, 4 literatures for guidelines, 2 literatures for expert consensus, 6 literatures for systematic reviews and 1 literatures for evidence summary.A total of 34 measures were sorted out and summarized from eight categories: sleep assessment, cognitive behavioral therapy, sleep hygiene education, traditional Chinese medicine nursing, exercise guidance, nutrition management, publicity and training and follow-up monitoring.
Conclusions Through comprehensive nursing interventions such as sleep assessment, cogitive behavioral theropy, and exercise guidance, it is beneficial to systematically and individually improve the sleep quality of patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis.
