Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of noninvasive positive-pressure ventilation (NIPPV) in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) with respiratory failure.
Methods: Of 56 COPD patients with respiratory failure were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The control group was routinely treated with anti-infection,relieving cough and reducing sputum, relieving asthma, and continuous low-flow oxygen therapy. Based on the conventional therapy, the treatment group was added NIPPV. After 48 hours, the two group was observed on the part of arterial blood-gas,heart rate, breathing rate, then compared and analysed.
Results: After NIPPV,the arterial PaO
2 was elevated gradually,the PaCO
2 was declined gradually and the result of PH was improved. The heart rate and breathing rate was declined(
P < 0.05). The results of the two groups were different evidently(
P < 0.05).
Conclusions: It is effective to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with respiratory failure with NIPPV on the part of improvement of meionectic blood, respiratory function, symptom.
