Abstract:
Objective: To discuss the clinical procedures for treatment of ocular trauma.
Methods: Seventy-six cases(76 eyes) of ocular trauma which had been treated by surgical therapy were retrospectively analyzed.
Results: Seventy-one eyeballs were retained and the other 5 failed.Before operation,6 eyes had no light perception(LP),40 eyes had a LP of ≤ 0.05,20 eyes 0.06-0.3 and 10 eyes 0.4-1.0;after operation,5 eyes had no light perception,16 eyes had a LP of ≤ 0.05,35 eyes 0.06-0.3 and 20 eyes 0.4-1.0.
Conclusions: Proper management of the wound and surgical therapy can improve the recovery of visual function in patients with ocular trauma.
