Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the editors mental health of Anhui province's university journal.Methods:Ninety-two journal editors selected by convenient sampling from 50 universities in Anhui province were investigated using the Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90) questionnaire.Results:The total score of SCL-90 was 132.7125.90,the scores of somatization,obsessive-compulsive symptoms,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,hostility,phobic anxiety,paranoid ideation and psychotic factor were 1.470.38,1.710.48,1.510.42,1.500.38,1.430.36,1.420.37,1.220.27,1.490.39 and 1.400.27,respectively.The total scores of SCL-90 in 16 cases were more than or equal to 160.The detection rate of obsessive-compulsive symptoms was the highest,which accounted for 30.4%.The differences of the total score of SCL-90 between editors and national adult norm were not statistically significant(P0.05).The scores of somatization and psychotic factor of editors were higher than that of national adult norm(P0.05),but their interpersonal sensitivity score was lower(P0.05).There were not statistical signifinances between the scores of obsessive compssive sympoms,depression,anxiety,hostility,phobic anxiety and paranoid in two groups(P0.05).Conclusions:The overall level of mental health between editors and national adult norm are similar.Compared with national adult norm,the scores of somatization and psychiatric factors of editors are high,and their interpersonal sensitivity factors scores are low.
