Abstract: Objective: To summerize the causes of leakage of urine in cerebrovascular patients with an indwelling catheter and the points of nursing care.Methods: The balloon catheter was employed.The indwelling catheter was placed according to the aseptic operation of catheterization procedures.The reasons for leakage were concluded,and appropriate care measures were taken.Results: Of the 182 cases using indwelling balloon catheterization,leakage occurred in 44 cases.Of them,32 were brought under control and 12 improved.Conclusions: There are many causes for leakage in the process of using an indwelling balloon catheterization.Nurses should strictly observe the rules and take comprehensive measures to prevent the incidence of leakage of urine.
