Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the quality of life and the social support in female patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).
Methods: Using cross-sectional study,surveys were conducted using the SF-36 (Chinese version) scale and the social support rating scale to evaluate the quality of life and the social support in female patients with ACS.
Results: Females were less than males in the cultural level(
P < 0.05) and the health care payments(
P < 0.05). The percentage of overweight female was higher than male(
P < 0.05); females were less than males in active smoking,but higher in passive smoking(
P < 0.01). Quality of life:in addition to physical pain dimension,females were lower than the males in the other seven dimensions of(
P < 0.05 to
P < 0.01). The females were lower than the males in the total score(
P < 0.01). Social support:females were lower than the males in the objective to support,the competent support,the utilization of support and social support(
P < 0.05 to
P < 0.01).
Conclusions: The females were lower than males on quality of life and the social support in patients with ACS.
